ABOUT THE GALLERY
The Craft Council Gallery is committed to the preservation, presentation and appreciation of craft and its makers by encouraging innovation, excellence, and community involvement.
Located within historic Devon House Craft Centre, the Gallery is the province's first and only exhibition space dedicated solely to the exhibition, promotion and sale of works of craft.
Our Main Gallery space is 600 square feet with an adjacent Annex Gallery of 450 square feet. A minimum of eight shows, both solo and group exhibitions, are mounted each year in these galleries.
In our 20 year history, we have shown the work of over 300 craftspeople, including guest exhibitors from across Canada and the world. Additionally, we house a small permanent collection for exhibition and research purposes.
Programming is developed with input from a volunteer committee comprised of craftspeople, curators and members of the community.
We value and encourage both traditional and innovative craft practices. Exhibition proposals from curators and craftspeople are welcome.
We are open to visitors Tuesday to Saturday, except when installing an exhibition. Admission is free.
