Betty Jones' bears come first from her compassion for people and her love of sharing the art of teddy bear making with dear friends. They also come from memories of her grandmothers' skills when she turned old clothing into new coats and dresses; she hand sewed these items, embroidering them with scraps of wool left over from old sweaters. Those memories inspired Betty to use recycled fabric to design her Teddy Bears. She saw a way to offer a teddy bear that would turn "a cherished memory of yesteryear into a memory that would last long into tomorrow."
