The Anna Templeton Centre offers part-time courses and workshops to meet the
needs and interests of the community. It has purpose-built instructional areas
and studios for print and dye, weaving, sewing, quilting, and multipurpose areas
for drawing, painting and a variety of craft activities. Typical workshops
include summer art/craft weeks for kids, cartooning, drama, art explorations,
black and white photography, drawing, dye techniques, embroidery, knitting,
paper making, quilting, traditional rug hooking, sewing (classes range from
beginner to advanced), stained glass, tapestry weaving, and much more. Professional
development programming for practising craftspeople and artists is designed
in close consultation with local industry associations. Both general interest
and professional development workshops are taught by professional artists and
craftspeople.
