The CLAY STUDIO
Located in the Devon House Craft Centre, the Craft Council's Clay Studio overlooks St. John's Harbour. The Studio provides a well-equipped facility where professional craftspeople can expand their skills and the general public can become more closely acquainted with the skills and tools of the potter.

The Clay Studio is a teaching facility that offers a variety of learning experiences for students at all levels. Educational programming includes:
  • After school classes and Easter and summer camps for kids
  • Recreational classes for adults at all skill levels
  • Professional development workshops in topics ranging from glaze chemistry to raku firing

The Clay Studio sponsors an `Artist in Residence' Program and provides access to materials, equipment and facilities for practising artists and craftspeople. Workshops with visiting ceramists are part of the Studio's annual schedule.
